Way I see it, you introduce a minor inconvenience for a big portion of the population, and that frustration spirals. They get angry, a bit nasty, they take it out on their assistant, the store clerk, their husband, and their souls get a little more tarnished every time. I don't need to tell people how to be awful, just have to give them the nudge to want to be awful.
